Course Information
Description	The lab provides a hands-on learning experience for exploration of human system components and basic physiology. Systems to be studied include endocrine, cardiovascular, immune, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive (including nutrition), urinary (including fluid and electrolyte balance), and reproductive (including human development and genetics).
Prerequisites	Corequisite(s): BIOL 2102 Lecture. Prerequisite(s): TSI complete in reading.

Textbooks	Textbook Purchasing Statement: A student attending Lamar State College Port Arthur is not under any obligation to purchase a textbook from the college-affiliated bookstore. The same textbook may also be available from an independent retailer, including an online retailer. There is a textbook and an access code that are required for this course. The textbook and access code are available at the LSCPA bookstore as a packaged bundle with the ISBN number 978-0-135-19376-1. The textbook is Human A&P, 2nd ed by Erin Amerman. The access code is "Modified Mastering A&P". The ISBN number for the textbook only is 978-0134-754239 The ISBN number for the Mastering A&P access code is 978-0-134-78807-4 The Access code can also be purchased directly from Pearson on the Mastering A&P site. Determination of Final Grade	Your grade for the lecture component of this class will be based on your exam grades and your grade on the online homework assignments. The average for the lecture component will be calculated by the average of your 5 lecture exams and the average of all of the homework assignments. The lab section of this course will be based off of all lab assignments, participation in lab activities, and the Final Lab Practical

Attendance Policy	Online attendance is required DAILY. Assignments are assigned daily. Once an assignment is closed it will not be re-opened for any reason. NO makeups are given and no grades are dropped. If exams are missed due to a medical EMERGENCY, you must email me immediately. Exams not taken will be given a grade of "0". Exam grades will be posted on the course website as soon as exams are graded. If you email me with a question about a grade, the email must come from your LSCPA email address.
Academic Honesty	Academic honesty is expected from all students, and dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated. Please consult the LSC-PA policies (Section IX, subsection A, in the Faculty Handbook) for consequences of academic dishonesty.
Facility Policies	No food or tobacco products are allowed in the classroom. Only students enrolled in the course are allowed in the classroom, except by special instructor permission. Use of electronic devices is prohibited.
